There's nothing like a great sketch to get the creative juices flowing after a holiday break, especially when you've had the pleasure of opening up new sets. I received a demonstrator pre-order before Christmas but only just got the chance to play with it.
The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was a great starting point.
The Friends are Like Seashells stamp set and coordinating dies, Seaside Seashells, will be available to everyone on 5 January, with the release of the January-June Mini Catalogue. It's a beauty, if you love nautical or coastal imagery. And I do. :-)
The Sand and Sea suite is marvellous. I've used the fabulous Seashells embossing folder on the base.
The seashells have been stamped in Soft Suede, fussy cut out and then embossed using the matching part of the embossing folder. A little sponging helps bring out the texture of these lovely shells.
I've sponged Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana onto the Stitched Rectangle and over-stamped using one of the stamps from the set to create the suggestion of sand and sky, before adding the shells which have been popped up on dimensionals.
You can contact me to find out more about this wonderful suite, and the January-June Mini-catalogue, by any of the methods listed in the 'Contact Me' tab at the top of the page.
