Very Versailles for Retro Rubber 148

This week at Retro Rubber, we have a theme challenge for you. I'm sure it's one you'll enjoy because who doesn't need birthday cards in their stash?

As always, the rules are simple. Make a birthday card using at least one stamp that's at least a year or more old. Tell us the approximate age of the stamp and that's it. There's a limit of three entries per person per challenge but other than that, it's entirely up to you.

I've gone back to an old favourite that's been in my craft room since June 2019 - Very Versailles. The sentiment is from Here's a Card, which I got from the same catalogue in 2019.

I used the faux torn paper technique, which I used for a Stampin' Up! Instagram tip earlier this year because I like it so much. You can see it here. You can look up the tip if you'd like to see how it works.

The colours I've used in the sponging are Crushed Curry, Mango Melody and Cherry Cobbler. I've stamped in Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler.

The Gold Foil has been textured with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. The final touch was the addition of three Champagne Rhinestones.

You can see what the rest of the team have done with this challenge, and link up your entry, by visiting the Retro Rubber Challenge site. We'd love to see what you do and what stamps you have in your stash.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar or clicking on any of products below.
