Beautiful Friendship for Retro Rubber 147

This week at Retro Rubber Challenge we have an 'Anything Goes' for you. Of course, since this is Retro Rubber the rule that you must use at least one stamp that's a year or more old, AND tell us the approximate age of it, still applies.

One of my favourite sets from the 2019-20 Annual Catalogue is Beautiful Friendship. This lovely floral set lets you appear to be a great watercolourist without doing more than stamping. I was so glad it carried over into the current catalogue. I also am very fond of the 2019-21 In-Colours and am sorry they will be leaving us next June. So I made sure to use them for this project!

I was keen to try out something I've seen quite a lot on the internet lately, and that is taking a stamped up piece of card and cutting it in half to make two cards. Thats what I've done here. I started with a half sheet of A4 paper (21cm x 14.8cm). I stamped a bouquet in the middle then cut it into two pieces (10.5cmx14.8cm). When I decided to double mat it, I took an extra 5mm off top and sides.

I used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch for the sentiments, both of which are part of the Beautiful Friendship set.  Really, it needed little more than a touch of Seaside Spray scallop-edged ribbon and some Basic Rhinestone Jewels to complete the cards.

    1. It is fun deciding just where to cut them and then the pleasure of a mirror image effect. :-)
