Tasteful Touches for CI78 - Crew Card

I'm not sure why, but the graphic for this week's challenge at Colour INKspiration seemed wintery. Perhaps that was influenced by the heavy frost this morning!

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

The wintery feel I got from the picture sent me off to one of the new suites I had on pre-order from the about to be released 2020-21 Annual Catalogue, the In Good Taste suite. I hadn't had a chance to try it out before but the gorgeous textures in the In Good Taste DSP seemed perfect. Gray Granite and Early Espresso are some of the colours found in this paper, along with Very Vanilla - I think the papers I chose fit into the colour challenge along with the free colours. :-)

One of the things that drew me to this suite was the eclectic mix of images and sentiments in the Tasteful Touches stamp set. Just look at them: a gorgeous flower, foliage, a feather and a lacy background (and there's more still in the box!)

The Tasteful Touches stamp set bundles with the Tasteful Labels dies. This stitched beauty is just one of the shapes on offer - just wait until you see the rest!

To finish off, I couldn't resist using the wooden In Good Taste Elements: they're sufficiently neutral to pass as Very Vanilla. The Linen Braid trim looked Gray Granite when added to this mix.

Based on this first outing, I think I'll be using this suite a lot. The countdown is on... you can order from the new catalogue from June 3.

We'd love to have you join in and show us what you've made with these pretty colours. You can see what the rest of the Crew have done and link up your entry by visiting Colour Inkspiration. If you're asking to join the group, don't forget to answer the simple question you'll be asked before joining.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. 2. Thanks for introducing me to a new challenge Jan - it looks fun! I love your showcases from the new catalogue and this collage style set looks interesting while the In Good Taste DSP is a 'must have'. I think I speak for the whole world when I say I wish I DID live in New Zealand! Wonderful to see Jacinda keeping her cool while being interviewed while an earthquake was happening recently :) Vicky x
