Good Morning Magnolia for FMS 430

It's a time in the Stampin' Up! year when I find myself looking back at my favourites from the current Annual catalogue that have been neglected in the flurry of lovely new things from the January- June Mini Catalogue. One of those is the Good Morning Magnolia set. For inspiration today, I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

The rhomboid shape intrigued me and I've interpreted it as four stitched squares joined together on point as a foundation against the splattered, embossed background.

I was aiming for a soft, romantic feel so I stuck to Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White. I seldom use ribbon but the lacy ribbon added to the romantic feel.

The magnolia are coloured using Stampin' Blends. Blends are so easy to use and give such rich colour.
