Peaceful Poppies for CAS(E) This Sketch 357

The summer heat is really biting now so I've been spending time in my craft room, which is now more like a craft sauna, and the swimming pool. I managed a little more experimentation with Peaceful Poppies before being driven out to seek refuge in the cool. For inspiration, I started with the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.

I've done a number of bright and bold creations using these Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments sets, collectively - Peaceful Poppies. I wondered how they'd go in a very pastel incarnation, which lead me here....

The poppies and leaves are all cut from Whisper White cardstock, lightly sponged in places with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam.

I think that the set works as well in subtle colours just as well as with regals and brights. What do you think?

  2. This totally rings the changes with this set Jan - I love the softness of those florals and the sectioned background.
