Welcome to sketch week at The Paper Players. Jaydee's given us an interesting one this week with three strong horizontal panels.
I'm unashamedly playing with my pre-orders from the Holiday Catalogue. Not long to wait now, people - it's live 5 September. I think it's a great catalogue and one where my wish list was long.
You'll know that I don't use that much DSP in my designs but sometimes there's paper too pretty to pass up and the Joyous Noel specialty designer paper is such a one. The earthy tones of Merry Merlot, Granite Grey and Tranquil Tide are matched with glorious copper accents. The sketch was just perfect for letting some of it speak for itself.
Just look at this stunning Merry Merlot glimmer paper that's also part of the Joyous Noel suite! Isn't it fabulous? And yes, the die cut and sentiment are also from the upcoming catalogue, part of the Merry Christmas to All bundle.
I know that Christmas seems a long way away but if you want to add a Christmas card to the gallery at The Paper Players, go for it! We'd love to see whatever you choose to do with Jaydee's sketch.

Absolutely stunning Jan! That paper is already on my next order…as are a “few” dozen other things. You gals are sure helping me spend money with your beautiful creations. Ha! I just love how you added that little leaf trinket. I think it is the perfect detail to compliment that shimmery sentiment. I just realized I haven’t ordered Merry Merlot yet either. More to add to the list. Thanks for enabling me! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have been resisting these papers but you and Joanne are killing me with these gorgeous creations! That stamp and die set I am trying to resist as well, but I will probably cave and get them! They seem so versatile! Your card is just lovely, especially with the glimmer paper...it adds just the right holiday touch!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card Jan - but then you know this already right, my creative twin! The DSP, the glimmer paper, the copper, the diecut sentiment - I love it all and we are totally one on this!!
