Retro Rubber 93 - Design Team Card

I'm very excited by today's challenge at Retro Rubber, since I had the pleasure of creating it.
I hope you enjoy Tic-Tac-Toe challenges as much as I do. Don't forget that since this is Retro Rubber Challenge, you do need to make sure you use at least one stamp that's older than a year and tell us your stamp's approximate age.

When I made it, I remember thinking that I was happy with it as I could visualise several cards that would fit the bill. It turned out that was the problem when it came to making a team card! I couldn't quite decide which line to play!

I set out to play the diagonal: birds-green-masculine. Looking at it now, I seem to also have played the top line: die-cut-washi tape-masculine; the right hand vertical: masculine-one word-leaves and the other diagonal: die-cut-green-leaves. If you count the planks as stripes, I've played even more!

So, I'll be really interested to see what line - or lines - you play in this challenge.

In this challenge, I've used Best Birds, which is still current but premiered in 2016-17 catalogue. The sentiment is from Crazy About You, which is now retired, from the 2015 Occasions catalogue.

Pop over to the Retro Rubber Challenge site and see what the rest of the team have done, then join in with us. You have until 24 August to play with us. Just remember to use stamps older than a year, give us an indication of age and please don't link up to more than ten other challenges.

Inspiration for this card also came from the sketch at Fab Friday Challenge.

  5. Oh, Jan, I am so glad that I decided not to use the same stamp set because I would have never gotten it as great as yours. I love how your card seems to have played with ALL of the possibilities LOL!! Beautifully done, my friend!

    1. Thanks, Maria. That's not DSP - I sponged the background.

    2. Hi Jan: Well, love your sponged sky, that's for sure, I should have mentioned on my first comment.
The DSP I was referring to was the wood one, I'm a sucker for DSP with weathered wood design on them, and this collection is spectacular.
Anyway, your card is gorgeous, my dear.

    3. Thanks, Maria. I don't know why I thought you meant the clouds... that'll teach me to comment before the first coffee of the day!
