CAS Colours and Sketches 119

This week, it's sketch week at CAS Colours and Sketches. With the second week of school holidays and a polar blast sweeping up the country to remind us all that summer is over and autumn was quite brief, it was a good chance to get into my room and make something for this challenge before the deadline.

The Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand were sitting on my desk still as I hadn't fully tidied away after my last project and they reminded me what a fabulous combination they are by themselves. So began this card.

We had to put the heating on for the first time last night and only the fact I'm going out later has stopped me putting it on right now, even if I am the only one at home. I forsee a cosy night in with my craft gear later.

Update: Delighted to have this card make the Top Picks at CAS Colours and Sketches.

Ingredients
Card: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Whisper White

Ink: Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler

  1. Such a pretty ccard, love all the splatter and your colours. It's so interesting hearing about your approaching Winter when here in the UK everything is just beginning to wake up and we're looking forward to Summer - always takes me by surprise these time & season differences.

  2. Wow - what a gorgeous take on our sketch! There's so much to love about your card - the colors, the splatters, the sweet little butterflies, the twine, the embossed texture - well, ok, everything! I'm so glad you were able to join us this week at CC&S - I enjoy seeing what you create!

  3. You always make such beautiful cards for us at CC&S Jan! My eldest daughter is currently travelling and is due to fly from Australia to NZ on Friday. She says it's really strange going into autumn and winter at this time of year when it is spring back home! Stef x

    1. Thanks Skylark! I hope your daughter enjoys New Zealand and get to see lots of it. It will be odd for her to have such a prolonged winter. When I go to your side of the world, I'm going to aim for two summers in a row!

  4. Your card is a cutie. Love the simplicity, but the spattering makes it so interesting.
