Just Add Ink 252

I was intrigued by this week's sketch at Just Add Ink: those angled panels always look a bit scary, yet inviting at the same time. A bit like diving into a cold pool, I suppose.

When I first saw Kinda Eclectic in the SU catalogue, it didn't reach out and grab me at all but I bought it on a whim. I thought I'd try something different. It has quickly become one of my favourites. I've used it often and the cards I've done with it nearly always end up in my favourite cards pile, i.e. the ones I don't want to give away! Or at least, only to very special people.

This one will probably end up on that pile too, because I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Ingredients
Card: Hello Honey (base), Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss
Stamps: Hardwood background, Kinda Eclectic, Clearly Besotted Fabulous Fuchsia (sentiment)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow
Other: Linen twine, Butterfly punch, dimensionals to raise the circle panel, circle framelits, brad base, Crushed Curry candy dot.

  1. I was a bit the same way about the tilted panel Jan - they always scare me at first glance. You have nailed this weeks sketch with this gorgeous card! I really love that bright yellow background. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!

  2. I'm not so keen on tilted angles on my cards. Yours turned out fantastic! Love the bright yellow base combined with the hardwood panel and the stamping with the Kinda Eclectic set! All those colours match great together. Thanks for joining us this week at Just Add Ink

  6. The woodgrain really accentuates the panel Jan and I love how the little tilt of the butterfly balances it out. Love the fresh bright feel! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

  7. Very pretty looks like it's a snap shot of a garden. The woodgrain panel looks great with the leaves folding over the top. Chantell JAI
