Paper Craft Crew 135 with Connie and Mary 346

Seems I'm getting a taste for combining challenges after all. This week, I've combined a beautiful sketch from Paper Craft Crew with a lovely colour combo from Create with Connie and Mary.





The idea all started from the thought that the three dots in the sketch could be represented by the tall bird in the Aviary set, one of the first two SU stamp sets I bought in my first ever purchase - the other was By the Seashore.


Ingredients
Card: Basic Black (card base), Wild Wasabi, Wild Wasabi DSP, Sahara Sand
Stamps: Crazy About You, Aviary
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Black
Other: Scallop Topper punch, Decorative Dots embossing folder, dimensionals, Wild Wasabi stitched ribbon, linen twine, black marker to colour cut edges, corner rounder.

    This is SO pretty!! I had forgotten how much I loved Aviary - such a beautiful stamp and I love what you have done with it here. The leaves at the top of the tag are the perfect touch. Thanks for joining us at Create With Connie and Mary this week. xx

    Cute! Miss that stamp set...a lot! Loved this birds and cages...(sigh). I don't know why we retire anything...just make the book bigger and bigger! Love all the dots! Great spring card! Thanks for playing the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge this week!

      Funny how easy it is to forget about retired things. I suppose demonstrators get rid of retired stock but maybe it would be an interesting challenge one time to have to use not new things.
