Colour Q

I've never entered a Colour Q challenge before but the Breast Cancer Awareness colours were very tempting and as a young friend of mine was diagnosed with the disease only a few days ago, it was a subject close to home.

The body and under-layer of the dragonfly's wings are silver but are harder to see in the photo than in reality.

Ingredients
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Metallic silver paper
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, sentiment from an unknown SU set.
Ink: Black Hero Arts
Other: Tattered Angels dragonfly die, Kaisercraft Black rhinestones, glue, glue dots, dimensionals to lift the top white layer, black marker for outlining the edges of the layers.

  2. Was so excited to see a fellow New Zealander in the gallery at Colour Q, not many of use around!! Your card is so pretty and absolutely love the dragonfly, its so intricate. Just gorgeous! Are you still scrapbooking or have you become a 100% card maker? Its incredibly addictive, especially when there are so many great challenges around. Will keep an eye out for your future designs!

  3. Thanks Shona! It is really good to see a fellow Kiwi around. It's the first time I've played at Colour Q. Yes, still scrapbook but mostly use the blog for challenges, and there are heaps of cards ones. Been off work for a couple of months so had lots of time to play around. Expect to not play so much now until the holidays. I've followed your blog to keep an eye on what you're up to. :-)
