While hunting around the Internet recently, I found this monthly challenge at Scrappin'Patch. As soon as|I saw it, a couple of photos from my 'to-do' pile just screamed out to be used in this layout. As photos sometimes do...
Here's my take on it. One of my children threw a costume party for her birthday this New Year's and the theme was to come dressed from the op-shop. Her sister, whose usual style is heavy goth, came as a hippie flower-child. Her brother took the opportunity to wear vintage 60s.
I especially like that the letters and ribbon were from a free give-away with Scrapbooking Memories that I never thought I would use, while the orange and swirly brown came from a specials bin.
I was very pleased that the distress inking around the photos made them more of a pair.
Really loving the Kaisercraft Basecoat range, newly added to my secret stash.
