Round We Go for The Paper Players 705

This week at The Paper Players, Joanne has given us a fun theme challenge: Spots or Stripes?

This was quite a quandary for me, since I like both of them! However, I have been starting to play with the Round We Go bundle which, in addition to the lovely rosette stamps, has a couple of spotty, dotty stamps and dies too.

I'd seen a gorgeous design with this set created by my Colour INKspiration and Stampin' Fancy Friday team mate, the wonderful Vicki Boucher. You can see it here.  I'd been keen to CASE it and this challenge was my chance!

Vicki's card was slimline and done in various blues but I went for pinks and a standard size. Although I've done things differently, you can see the influence here. And it was SOOOO much fun to make. I've enjoyed everything I've made with this bundle.

As you see in the detail photo, this card is made up of many layers of dots on top of spots on top of dots. I've used Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Pretty in Pink along with some Pretty in Pink Glimmer paper. Some of the spots are stamped, some are die cut.

Even the embellishments are spots - some Pretty in Pink Resin Dots.
The sentiment is cut using one of the banners from Stylish Shapes.

I love the way the various spots and dots explode to create the feeling of fireworks and celebration.

We look forward to seeing what you do with this sketch. You can see what the rest of the design team have done, and link up your entry, at The Paper Players page.
