Mountain Air for Paper Players 590

Life is beginning to settle down a little after the buying and selling of houses and moving after a quarter of a century! So it was with pleasure that I sat down to just make something for no particular reason at last.

Inspiration came from the colour challenge at The Paper Players.

I thought that the Night of Navy and Fresh Freesia had the look of a twilight about them so turned to Mountain Air.

To get some definition between the two die cut trees (from Majestic Mountain), I added in some extra Granny Apple Green by colouring one with a Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend.

The sentiment, and the lovely label, are from the Waves of Inspiration bundle. I threaded a narrow piece of Night of Navy card through the slots in the label and trimmed the ends. I think that's a nice way to accent the sentiment without bling - perhaps more in keeping with the masculine vibe I was looking for.

Update: Delighted to be named A Cut Above at The Paper Players!

  2. I just love this Jan (already pinned to CASE!) I don't use this set anywhere near enough and I'm amazed at how great these colours look on your scenic view - and not a floral in sight! Thanks for joining with my colour challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
