Merry Christmas to All for Retro Rubber

Welcome to the final challenge of the year at Retro Rubber. We've got a festive colour challenge for you and as always, we ask you to use at least one stamp that's a year or more old and to give us the approximate age of it.

Our retro challenges are a great chance to get out some old favourites and to give them a different look when you mix them up with new products. This card is definitely playing with old favourites.

One of my favourites from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue was the Merry Christmas to All bundle, which is still available - just no longer as a bundle. I enjoyed the mix, and range, of the stamped and die-cut greetings.

The Tin Tile embossing folder, also from last year, is another favourite and I'm pleased it's still available. I've given it a light coating of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to add some shine.

New items that give a different look are the Wrapped in Plaid DSP, the Shimmer White embossing powder (a pretty mix of white and glitter) and the gold Designer Element embellishment.

You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up your entry, by visiting the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. We'd love to see what you do with these colours!

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar or clicking on any of products below.

Product List

  1. Very pretty. Love the shiny embossed layer with the plaid paper. TFS

  2. This is one beautiful Christmas card! I love the panel of pretty plaid with the ticket sentiment complimenting the large die-cut sentiment. The background is so striking, especially with the shimmer you added! Gorgeous!

  3. What a great way to make the Christmas pop off the DSP, emboss with Shimmer White EP! Stunning card!

  4. Jan, love the shimmery effect on your embossed panel, the pop of red from the plaid DSP makes your Christmas die cut look amazing.
    Happy Holidays!!
