As You See It 209 - Design Team Card

It's week 3 of our challenge rotation at As You See It, so that makes it a 'Fill in the Blank' challenge.

This challenge was a hard one to answer because I have a solid base of several 'go-to' items. So I went for the newest addition to the group: Stitched Nested Labels Dies. They're go-to because their unusual shape adds elegance, because they layer so well, because the variation in sizes means you can use them for sentiments as well as images, and because the stitched detailing is just fabulous.

I'll also put a plug in for the Gleaming Ornaments punch pack because their sweet size and variation of shapes might well make these the 'go-to' of Christmas punches.

Here they both are, along with the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the Hammered Metal embossing folder for a Christmas card that I'll be teaching next month.

There are many ways this super sprig of holly could be coloured but I've gone for water colouring them with using the ink pads and an aqua-painter.

So what is your 'go-to' punch or die set? We'd love to know.
You can pop over to the As You See It blog to see how the rest of the team have filled in the blank and to link up your entry.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar or clicking on any of products below.

  3. I love how you nested these dies Jan and used them to create a metallic border for the main shape too - a great way to tie them in with the other copper elements on your card. The hammered metal background looks great in white too and adds so much texture and interest (why didn't I buy this already?!) This will be a great class card - I'm sure your ladies will love it! Thrilled to be joining you on the AYSI Team and can't wait to see you in person later this week!
