Paper Players 448

It's tic-tac-toe week at The Paper Players. Who doesn't love a good tic-tac-toe challenge?

I played down the middle: patterned paper, yellow and birthday.

I seldom use patterned paper but these two are strips from the Bird Ballad DSP.

The beautiful birds on a branch stamp is my favourite from Free as a Bird. I've stamped and coloured them and then partially die-cut them using a Stitched Nesting die, which is bundled with the stamp set. They're coloured with Stampin' Blends.

I used my favourite sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings, 'Fabulous at any age.' Once you're a certain age, that's all you need to hear on a birthday and my friends and I are at that age for sure!

The background is embossed using the new Brick and Mortar embossing folder. This folder is giving my favourite new folder, Scripty, a run for its money on the favourite position with the lovely texture the unevenness of the bricks give.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours and help you with ideas and to supply you with Stampin' Up products. You can message me by leaving a comment or going to my Facebook page, linked in the side bar of this blog. 1. Beautiful coloring on this sweet card, Jan! The pearls, the twine, and the charm add so much texture. Such a perfect card! Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players!

  3. I am late with my comment on this one but I love those sunny yellow birds against the textured background. Great layout too - the papers really compliment your design and the little key trinket is the perfect finishing touch!
