Paper Players 424 and TGIF194

This week at The Paper Players, Anne Marie has a pretty colour challenge. Grapefruit Grove is a colour I haven't warmed to but as I used it in this card I thought how pretty it looked with Pool Party.

For further inspiration, I used the sketch at TGIF.

I wanted to use Incredible Like You, one of the stamp sets we were given at On Stage in November, so the extra colour I added in was Old Olive.

The sentiment came from the fabulous Well Said bundle, which has greeting for absolutely every occasion. The stamps and the die cut words give you endless combinations of greetings. The little die cut foliage stems come from the Butterfly Beauty thinlits, which coordinate with the Beauty Abounds set.

Update: Delighted to be a winner at TGIF this week!

  1. So much to love about this card Jan! I'm with you on Grapefruit Grove - it an be a tricky colour to get on with unless it's in a good colour combination. Love your use of this stamp set and clever layering too! As for that fab word die - be still my heart! Such a fresh card - missing you over at PP this week but so glad to see you in the gallery playing along!

  5. This is just lovely, Jan! I love how you incorporated all the colors into your sweet little floral vignette, and the off-center background gives it a little extra interest! But the sentiment and twine...you had me at that! LOVE!! Thanks for playing with the Player this week!
