Thank you everyone who entered into our Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at Retro Rubber last week. I hope you enjoyed my challenge, as I have a couple more coming up between now and the end of the year! Jane's given us an inspiration challenge this week. Let the picture inspire you... the colours, the flags, the ice blocks, the berries, the planks ... whatever you see in the picture that gives you an idea.
Of course, since we are Retro Rubber Challenge, the only limitations are that you must use at least one rubber stamp that is at least one year old. You need to give us an indication of how old your retro stamps are and we ask you not to link up to more than a total of ten challenges.
Today I decided to CASE myself and remake this card from last July into a birthday card. Clearly, I was inspired by the colours! I used two older stamp sets. The main one is Balloon Celebration, which is still current but appeared first in the 2016 Occasions catalogue as did the now retired Number of Years.
I do like Balloon Celebration. The stamp that looks a bit like a shower head or a watering can is also like a mini-fireworks display, I think.
I tried out three new colours - Blueberry Bushell (new In Colour), Poppy Parade (new Bright) and Balmy Blue (new Subtle). Aren't they lovely?
Visit the rest of the design team here at Retro Rubber Challenge, then see where your inspiration takes you. You can join up with us until 13 July.

What a great design, Jan! I really love the use of the window sheet. I am loving those new colors as well. Your card makes me wish I had added another color. I knew there was something "off" but I didn't realize what it was till I saw yours just now. Oh well! Better luck for me next time! Have a great week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific card for a 29 year old, and I'm really enjoying seeing these new colors, Jan! Love the window too, adds an interesting design element to an otherwise CAS card. Happy 400th, and so glad to have you on our team!
ReplyDeleteJan, I loved this design since I saw your other card, this is perfect for any occasion, love how the sentiment peeks through the window and the way you created the Fireworks is very clever indeed.
ReplyDeleteFabulous color combination, I love the new Blueberry Bushel and Poppy Parade, they seem to have been made for each other.
Awesome card.
XO
