I see that the tulips in the graphic really grabbed the attention of the rest of the design team. For me, I know it's really spring when the camellias start to bloom so I got out the retired Avant Garden for this challenge. I know they're not really camellias but when they're stamped together like this, they do put me in mind of a laden camellia tree.
The Petal Burst embossing folder adds in a subtle touch of spring to the card as well.

ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely! Your colors, that sweet background, all perfectly combined. So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Jan! Congrats on your win at FMS! Well deserved, I might add! I just love the colours in this one!
ReplyDeleteJan your card is beautiful! I love that fresh floral panel and contrast of the white-on-black sentiment. So pretty and definitely one to welcome spring!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Jan! You've used my favorite colors, pink and green. Add to that a bit of black contrast, a touch of sparkle and some texture, it all adds up to a perfectly fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stamping, Jan! Your flower placement looks effortless and so perfect I thought it was DSP! Great colors together especially with the pop of black and white. The petal burst folder is just the right amount of texture—a beautiful card! I love camellias too, lots of old growth ones in my area. For us they are always the first sign of winter setting in, well Florida winter anyway!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Princess! Loved this card the minute I saw it. The colors you used are beautiful! Sadly, our camellias try to bloom this time of year but it's also the rainy season so they get quite beat up before they even have a chance :( Hope you're having a great week ~ Hugs, Annie
ReplyDeleteJan, I too love camellia's. Mine have already bloomed. Your stamping is so gorgeous! Your flower panel looks like DSP! The black and white sentiment just pops off these lovely blooms! The embossed panel is just perfect to showcase your flower panel. I sure hope you are having a great week in sunny NZ! XX
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Great win! So love your card!
