Retro Rubber Challenge 81 - Design Team Card

I hope you are as excited as I am about this sketch of Claire's! I think it's great and has just so many possibilities! Here at Retro Rubber Challenge, we love to get out our old stamps. If you do too then this is the challenge for you. Our rules are simple: use at least one stamp older than a year, give us an approximate age for your old stamp and don't link up to more than ten challenges in total.

As I was looking through my shelf of retired or older stamps, I came across Kinda Eclectic. I was so pleased to be reminded of it because it was once one of my favourites. It came out around the time I started seriously stamping: it was in the 2014-15 Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue.

I even dug out some brad bases and candy dots for this butterfly. I'd forgotten how great they were to use. At least linen twine - another of my favourites - is still current.

Anyway, at Retro Rubber Challenge, we love to see what you do with your trip down the stamp version of memory lane. You have two weeks to join us. Pop over to the site to see the rest of the Design Team's creations.

If you live anywhere in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I'd love to help you with ideas and Stampin' Up products. Sale-a-bration is on and there's a new Special Occasion Catalogue out. Please message me through my Facebook page, linked in the sidebar of this blog or leave a comment below.

If you live in New Zealand and you would like to join my Stampin' Up team, message me for a chat. And, of course, you can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand.

As You See It 147 - DT card

It was great to see all the varied entries into our Spring theme challenge and to read all of the reasons people like Spring. This week, we have a sketch challenge that I really love and enjoyed working with...

I had a lot of fun with this sketch and I hope you will too. The die is from Impression Obsession.

The leaves are from Kinda Eclectic. I love these leaves, especially when paired up with Papillon Potpourri.

The butterfly is watercoloured and highlighted with silver gel pen then coated with Glossy Accents, layered and finished off with a couple of rhinestones. The sentiment is from Big on Birthdays.

You have until Wednesday 19 April, 11.55 p.m. to join us. We'd love to see what you do with this wonderful sketch. Please join us!

Global Design Project 73

It's a bright and breezy colour combination this week at Global Design Project.

I thought they were such cheerful colours, that they'd make a good basis for a card of encouragement when someone, for whatever reason, was feeling down. Kinda Eclectic is a favourite set of mine and I've not used it in a while, so it had an outing today.
