Welcome to the latest challenge at As You See It. As always, our sketch challenge is followed by a colour challenge and it's a dark and moody set of colours we have for you.
The swirls of coloured smoke made me think of the swirly stamps in Artistically Inked, so I started with those then overlaid the floral die cut from the Artistic dies.
I added in three Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to finish off. I like the way they reflect colour and pick up the colours around them.
Don't forget to visit the As You See It Challenge page to see what the rest of the design team have done and to link up your entry. As always, the winner of this colour challenge will be invited to Guest Design with us for our next recipe challenge. You can join in with us until Wednesday 19 October, 11.59pm PST.

Loving how you used the swirly stamp with those great colours to make the background to off set the beautiful black die cut.
ReplyDeleteSo very striking
Wow, challenging colors, but you nailed it, Jan! Beautiful way to use the colors for your background, and I LOVE the ribbon treatment!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so amazing Jan - the colours work so well behind the die cut. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is stunning, Jan! That ribbon takes that design up about 3 notches, too! I love the watercoloured background!
ReplyDeleteI just love the looks of this card. The colors are beautiful. And the ribbon you teased out is a fantastic touch!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wanda. I liked the teased effect too.
DeleteBeautifully executed! I love that ribbon - but to use black for the die cuts over the colors - very eye catching!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Jan and the unravelled ribbon really elevates this card to another level of sophistication! I love the diecut in black as the overlay too - it works so well.
