I'm having a play around with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today because I have new stuff to play with. Although I've been a Stampin' Up! woman for some time now, sometimes you just have to go off piste. I'm always on the lookout for good music themed items for my collection as I have musical family members. When my Paper Players buddy JayDee used some Spellbinders musical items recently, I tracked them down within New Zealand so avoided heavy shipping costs. They are now in my possession. 😀
The die sets and embossing folder come from Spellbinders Bibi Cameron Musical Notes Collection. All other products are Stampin' Up!.
I enjoyed creating the violin and bow from Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Basic Black and some copper foil. I added in some adhesive sheet to give both height and strength, especially to the very delicate bow die cut.
Since I used copper foil for the bow, I used the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil die with Copper Hot Foil to create the sentiment.
It was nice to get a first card done with these items - already I have ideas for other projects.

ReplyDeleteWell this is just fab Jan - and so perfect for the musicians in the family! I love that embossing folder (might have to add that to my next cart!) and a great tip about adding acetate behind the bow. I never would have thought to do that and I think it's a great idea! Love this card.
