I was delighted to be able to get a bit of quiet time today to play along with one of my favourite challenges, The Paper Players.
As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew right away how I wanted to play it: just one lovely layered daisy over foliage and some textures strips. I used the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing folder for the narrow strips.
The daisy is popped up on dimensionals for some extra pop. The sentiment is in Basic Gray for a softer look.
Update: Delighted to be named Headliner at the Paper Players!

Love this set, definitely going to create a version of this lovely design, so I hope you don't mind. Adding the white veins into the leaves is a lovely finishing touch rather than leaving them hollow.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind at all! If you do, I'd love to see it. You could post it on my Jan Clothier Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator Facebook page.
DeleteJan, I love your card. The embossed panels add so much texture. Your sweet daisy is perfect! I love how it pops off all the white! You certainly made my sketch shine at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claire.
DeleteWhat a beautiful CAS daisy - I am loving the embossed stripes too. Such a clean, fresh card - I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo elegant looking. Love all the texture you created on your card.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning, Jan! That pop of texture is a wonderful detail. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
