I'm still enjoying the whirl of playing with my pre-order items from the Holiday Catalogue, even though the catalogue is now open to order from. This lovely open sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was perfect inspiration to play some more. I don't often make square cards, so that was interesting too.
My guilty little pleasure from the catalogue was So Santa. There's a great Santa delivering gifts on a scooter, a chef Santa but it's Santa playing hooky at the beach that's irresistible. Outside the window we're on Day 3 of what could charitably be called spring showers, but is really a deluge, so taking Santa on an outing to the beach was a much more pleasant activity!
I couldn't resist giving him a candy cane surf board. In my head, he's got a pina colada and not egg nog in his hand. He's perfect for an Antipodean Christmas.
