A couple of weeks ago, I watched a great video clip on www.kwernerdesign.com on ink smooshing. I loved the controlled, yet uncontrolled nature of the technique and was keen to experiment with it again. So, here it is.
Ingredients
Card: Whisper White, Watercolour paper, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo
Stamps: Clearly Besotted Time to Celebrate, W&W Big, Bold and Party
Ink: Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac, Versamark
Other: W&W Big, Bold and Party die, W&W sequins, Black embossing powder
Jan, thanks for making such a beautiful card inspired by the sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great design. Nice job smooshing those colors!
ReplyDeleteJan a lovely card and I like your choice of colors. Thank you for commenting on my card.
ReplyDeleteYour card is smashing with all that lovely smooshing, Jan! That's one of my favorite techniques. The clock fits it perfectly!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome and couldn't you just 'smoosh' all day??!! I saw the same video and have tried it a few times now. I feel more confident doing it than normal water colouring as you can't really tell when you've made a mistake. Your card is very cool, love the black clock idea and the blue and purple go together perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shona. I'm pleased with how it's turned out and yes, loving the smooshing!
DeleteOh, this is so cool & fun! Fabulous take on the sketch!
